Summary

An ordinary little swallow meets on the road a stone statue, the Happy Prince, “gilded all over with thin leaves of fine gold, for eyes he had two bright sapphires, and a large red ruby glowed on his sword-hit”. It never occurred to them that this meeting will change their lives, involving them in a variety of dramatic experiences...

Oscar Wilde’s “The Happy Price” is a beautiful and touching fairy tale about goodness and compassion, about friendship and faithfulness, about all little miracles that each one of us could do for the others.

Three actors from the Varna State Puppet Theatre tell this story on the stage. They do this poetically and fascinatingly; in a simple elegant way, feeling well the balance of the comic and the sad and touching the hearts of children and adults.

Performance for adults and children aged more than 7 years.
